Distribution via U.S. aid organization Direct Relief
Bayer donates medicines worth more than EUR 300,000
Leverkusen, June 12, 2015 – Bayer is supporting victims of the earthquakes in Nepal with medicines. The U.S. aid organization Direct Relief has assumed responsibility for distributing the donated drugs worth more than EUR 300,000, mainly comprising pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory medication.
With this aid measure the company supplements the cash donation of EUR 100,000 already given to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund in India to support rescue teams and measures to safeguard basic health care in the affected regions.
